cupid valentines card

Hiya everyone,
I haven't been around much this week, as I slipped on ice 10 days ago and broke my left leg and dislocated my foot. I have had surgery which resulted in a metal plate, six screws and a metal rod in my ankle.

I will now need to take six months off work to recover, as the metal rod is being removed in a few months (more surgery) and then I will need months of intensive physiotherapy too.
But I am staying positive and even managing to get a little crafting done. I cant weight bear on my leg, but with the help of my lovely hubby, we managed to re-organise my craft room, so that I can get my wheel chair around and I made this card using one of my new Tilda stamps, she is called my valentine.

Sorry the pictures aren't too good, I didn't use my usual area for taking the photos, as I cant get my wheel chair in there.

Isnt she a cutie!
I made a large tag shaped card and covered the front with a Magnolia butterfly paper and I used some maja basics for the scalloped oval around the image.

She is coloured with Copics and the ribbons, distressed wooden heart button and beautiful roses are all from the ribbon girl.

Please pop by Sunday, as the new challenge for Magnolia Mania Challenge begins, thank goodness I made that card in advance he he!

Fussy and Fancy Friday - Featured Guest Designer

Hey Everyone,

Fantastic News, as some of you may have seen on the challenge, I am Fussy and Fancy Friday, Featured Guest Designer!!!

Their theme this week is Swirls and Pearls and here is the card that I made, nice to make something bright and colourful for a change.

I coloured Lemon Tilda up with copics, and the papers are all from my own stash of goodies. I found the little Fresh Lemonade ticket on the net and the bunting too. They add that splash of yellow and as I really wanted to keep the focus on pink with this card, I think that is enough yellow.
The happy birthday sentiment is from one of Pions Paper border sheets and I have wrapped it around a tiny wood spool.

I have actually cut her out and then replaced her, on an identical image, so that she stands out.

The flowers are  from WOC and I made a little hand made pearl hat pin and die cut some large magnolia leaves and tags from the same shades  of papers.
I am sure the swirly borders are memory box Valerian Flourish, they add an extra element of interest.

Just wanted to add, if you love this two tone shabby seam binding as much as I do you can find details Here at Jules blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great week.
Don't forget to pop over to the challenge to see the teams beautiful creations.
Take care, Cuddles Jay xxx

I would love to enter my card into

Edwin Wants A Hug Birthday Card

Hiya Everyone,

Here is a card that I made for my friends dad for his birthday, I dont usually like making male cards, but as she is a dear friend to me, I made this for her.

As he is a Rangers supporter, I bordered all the pion papers with bazzil bling card to match their colours and I coloured his tie with the same colour too.

And a strange coincidence, I later found out that he is a stamp collector, so the stamp on the right worked well too!

Thanks for stopping by today.
