Brand New Challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

 

Hello Everyone

 

Today is the day for our brand new challenge theme over at

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge.

Our Easy peasy theme is Anything Goes, so there is no excuse not to join in!

We will not be having a midway post this month to give the team time with

their families over the festive period.

 

I have made this gift bag and bauble, for my mother as a pre-Christmas gift.

 

I made a bauble last year for myself and she loved it, so I made one for her, there a few extra little goodies to go in the bag too. 

To thank her for being a wonderful mum.

In this picture you can see the 3 little snow balls that are glittered, cute hey!

I used Magnolia's Ginger Bread House die, to create the little house inside.

I have strung it with white seam binding to hang from the tree.

 

When I had glued the bauble together, I shook it, so the little snow balls and glitter would stick to the glue around the edge, which gives a nice snowy effect.

The flowers are normal store bought flowers, that I took apart and added the extra layers to create a fuller poinsettia.

 



 

As I don't have my tree up as yet, the picture below is of my own bauble from last year!

This is my card...

(I have used pearls and diamond dust glass glitter)

 

 I have coloured Tilda with Little Rudolph with DI's and she has dimensional diamond dust around her feet and I have flocked the bobble on her hat and frantaged around the image.

 



 

I love these tiny little chipboard leaves and the rusty bells that I originally bought from Live and Love Crafts.

My papers are Pion and Maja Design. The tags are made from the same and I have threaded them with 2 different types of seambinding and tied a cute acorn charm to each one with natural hemp twine.

Marvelous Magnolia New Challenge

I am a little late with this post, as there was a bit of a glitch and my card wasn't being shown, but it is all sorted out now he he!!!

I have made another Christmas Card...

 

 

I have used Tilda with Reindeer Jumper and my papers are Lemon Craft.

 

Here you can see that I have made two little hat pins and added a lovely mix of Wild Orchid florals, as well as some from my own stash of goodies.

This tag has a reindeer charm to match Tildas jumper.

Today is our Mid Way Post at LHOSM

I have made a card using Ribbon, Lace, Hemp Twine, seam binding and 2 types of pearl string.

 

 

I have used Linen textured card and Maja Design Papers,  for the base of my card and my pennants are Maja Design and Lemon Craft papers.

 

Tilda is coloured with Copics and I have flocked the fur sections on her coat and hat and added iridescent snow around her feet.

 

Here is the tag removed from behind the image and threaded with seam binding, twine and a snowflake charm.

Here is my inspiration, I have created a Christmas gift bag...

 

 

A closer look at the front of the bag.
My flowers and pearl trim are all from our sponsors store, I have 25mm roses, which are my favourite size.
I have also added some tiny cinnamon sticks, pines cone and some beautiful sprays, leaves and even a little wheat sheath!

 

A sneak peek at the tag, removed from the handle decorated with lots of lovely seam binding, natural moss and a little berry spray.

There are even 2 tiny pine cone charms threaded through natural hemp twine!

Hello Everyone.

 

Our midway team is back from their summer break at

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge!

 

Our current theme is

DIE CUTS

and we are thrilled to be sponsored by the lovely ladies at

We cant wait to see your creations, which must include at least one die cut to qualify for prizes.

 

On a personal note, I off on holiday to Greece on Tuesday for 2 weeks and will catch up with everyone's entries when I return home.

 

Here is my card, I felt that I needed to make a start on my Christmas cards and really enjoyed masking Tilda with my molly bloom background.

What would I do without my Misti tool he he!!!

 

 

 

 

 

I have coloured the Christmas scene with Copics and Prisma pencils.

The Central papers are Poinsettia paper from Pion design and I  hand cut a narrow red border around the layers and finished it off with green holly papers from my own goodies.

 

This picture shows the tag removed from the back of the image. It is threaded with seam binding, red & green divine twine and a little silver tinkling bell.

 

A peek at the base layer and lots of gorgeous embellies. The gorgeous roses are from Wild Orchids Vintage Colours Set and the pearl trim is from our Sponsors store.

I have decorated a small Christmas tree embellishment with Gesso and a few tiny pearls to match the colours in my card.

There is also flocking to the top of the stocking hanging from the fire place.

Isn't she just so darn cute!!!

 

I have used both Maja and Pion Design papers, gorgeous anemone flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I dyed this gorgeous lace, so that has a pink shimmer. Lots of die cuts, including Magnolia wire fence die cut and sentiment.

Country Girl Masked Step Card

Hello Everyone

I have made this step card using two of the new cuties from the country girl collection.

That I bought from Swedish house crafts.

Be warned, this post is a little picture and chat heavy, if your time is of the essence, then please click on the first picture and scroll though. 

I have used two of the country girl Tildas and my molly blooms seed tray background. 

All my papers are lemon craft and I have coloured everything with Copics.

Sitting Tilda with clogs is masked onto my Molly Bloom background. I have stamped around the edge using one of the magnolia stamps from the unicorn collection and the sentiment is from my stampelglede stamps. 

How cute is Tilda with flower in her pocket? 

I made my own tassel and as I didnt have any of the pink background paper left, I cut a white one and distressed and stamped it on both sides with pink & Cocoa pigment ink, using the same background stamp, that i have used on the image.

 Looks quite similar, there are 2 tags both cut from the same card/paper and I have tied the edges of my own hand dyed seam binding with hemp twine, one has a strawberry charm too!

There are lots of other pretty details that you can see too!

Here is my card...

 Both images are from my new Magnolia Club.

 Princess Tilda is flying away from her castle on her magic carpet, so super cute.

I have coloured the images with Copics.

There is even a magic lamp that I have stamped onto the tag, to complete the Aladin theme!!! The sentiment is from the club too.

For a change I made some of my own rolled roses from DP's and distressed my leaves in several colours, added a touch or two of seam binding and a few frosted berries to compliment the colour scheme.

The DP's are from my own stash of goodies!

Sylvia Zet SCAD Card

Good Afternoon Everyone

Well, we have had a heat wave here in the UK, making it very difficult to sleep at night and are expecting thunderstorms today!!!

Fickle weather!

I have just returned home after collecting my daughter to bring home as she has now finished university, I am still a super proud mum, as I have been saying over the last three years he he!!!

Although I haven't got a clue how she is going to fit everything that she has collected over the last three years back into her bedroom.

Luckily we converted the loft (attic) recently so she can store some things up there until she decides what she wants to keep!

Anyway enough waffle, here is my card which I created with one of my SCAD stamps.

I have used one of my old SCAD stamps from Sylvia Zet, I am especially pleased with her hair, it took me a couple of hours to create all the strands and shading, but I enjoy the colouring process.

Both my designer papers are lemon craft and a gorgeous little tag from behind the image. I have distressed the image with DI's and added some shabby frantage and several cute butterflies.



I made the 3 Foamiran flowers and painted/decorated butterfly charm, I also made a little hand made decorative pin!
