Tilda with big rose insert card

Hiya Everyone

Here is an insert card that I made over the last week. featuring one of my favourite gals, Tilda With Big Rose.

She is coloured with copics and I have hand cut the spotty stand to match the spotty frame around her.
The beautiful roses are WOC and the spray is from L&L Crafts.
I removed the stamens from two sweet heart blossoms and replaced them with pearl brads and added them to the ribbon to remove the insert.

The gorgeous muted paper is Pion and a piece from my own goodies.
The lovely pleated satin and organza ribbon and pearl trim are from The Ribbon Girl.

GDT Magnolia Mania Challenge

Hello Everyone

Well, sadly this is my final challenge with Magnolia Mania and I cant begin to tell you what a pleasure the last six months have been, to be a part of such a friendly and fantastic team!

So, this fortnights challenge is sponsored by Magnolia of Sweden and you could be the lucky recipient of a surprise package from them! How lovely would that be?

The theme this time around is Winter Wonderland, we hope that you will join us, we cant wait to see your beautiful creations!

Here is my small easel card featuring Tilda in Cosy Coat and Old Swedish Church Background...

Tilda and the scene is coloured with copics and I added a little liquid pearls and stickles and also snowtex to add a little texture.

I am have inked the little woodchip reindeer and added them as though they are in the distance.

Top view of my card

I am loving these stunning little vine borders at the moment and included a couple of medium sized embossed and distressed snow flakes to finish off the winter wonderland theme.

Shabby Chic Betty Boots

Hiya Everyone,

Here is another card, using Betty Boots, as soon as I saw here I had to have her to colour her up! She originally came with a blank sign, so I added with love to fit the current valentine holiday season.
(It only seems like 5 mins ago that we were all saying the same about Christmas!)

I coloured her with copics and added some lovely papers and ribbons from my goodies, the bark heart and twine threaded button are from Live and Love Crafts & the beautiful large roses are of course WOC.

I included one of my hat pins and some beige spikey foliage too, along with a silver heart charm.

The lovely large blossom shape fits the theme nicely, I wanted it to be a bit grungy/shabby chic, but still girly and I am happy with the outcome.

You can find Betty Boots Here

Loves me,Loves me not Tilda

Hiya Everyone

As I have alot of time just sitting around with my broken leg, I have done alot of colouring lately, so here is another card featuring Loves Me, Loves Me Not Tilda.

I absolutely adore these papers, they are Grandmas Attic by Tinker N Co, they are quite heavy for papers. You can find them Here. I used three papers from the collection and the Doohickey tag & flowers are made from it & its 100% recycled too.

I made and distressed the cute little flowers to add extra interest and the white foliage around the edgs are die cuts and frame Tilda perfectly!

She is coloured with copics and I added some little grasses and sky to create an outdoor scene.

Hope you like my card, Take Care

Masked Triple Valentine's Tildas

Hiya Everyone,

I bought these three beauties before I broke my leg two weeks ago today and as I am finding it tricky to make cards with poor mobility at the moment, I decided to use all three that I have on one card!

I coloured them with copics and mixed in a little pro marker skin colours so they didnt all have the same colour skin.

I like these smaller sized easel cards, using the cute frames. I used some vintage papers from my own goodies and cut a matching tag and used a doohickey bow with a wooden heart button that I distressed, the flowers are WOC and the sentiment is Magnolia too.

Hiya all,

A new challenge starts today at Magnolia Mania Challenge and this time around it is...
 Special Card Shape.

You have the chance to win a special suprise package from Magnolia of Sweden, we are looking forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

I made a criss cross card, with a Magnolia Tilda masked insert, using Divine Tilda and Open Gate background.

I used Pion's Lillies from the silent night collection, as they have beautiful stargazer lillies in the corner and I used some of WOC star gazer lillies on the other side too.
I made the shabby bow from organza that I have in my goodies.

Please pop by our challenge, you have a whole month to show us your creations.

I love these style of card and Teresa makes such beautiful cards, that I wanted to try one along the same lines for myself. I contacted Teresa to ask if that would be alright with her, you can see her beautiful creations here.

cupid valentines card

Hiya everyone,
I haven't been around much this week, as I slipped on ice 10 days ago and broke my left leg and dislocated my foot. I have had surgery which resulted in a metal plate, six screws and a metal rod in my ankle.

I will now need to take six months off work to recover, as the metal rod is being removed in a few months (more surgery) and then I will need months of intensive physiotherapy too.
But I am staying positive and even managing to get a little crafting done. I cant weight bear on my leg, but with the help of my lovely hubby, we managed to re-organise my craft room, so that I can get my wheel chair around and I made this card using one of my new Tilda stamps, she is called my valentine.

Sorry the pictures aren't too good, I didn't use my usual area for taking the photos, as I cant get my wheel chair in there.

Isnt she a cutie!
I made a large tag shaped card and covered the front with a Magnolia butterfly paper and I used some maja basics for the scalloped oval around the image.

She is coloured with Copics and the ribbons, distressed wooden heart button and beautiful roses are all from the ribbon girl.

Please pop by Sunday, as the new challenge for Magnolia Mania Challenge begins, thank goodness I made that card in advance he he!

Fussy and Fancy Friday - Featured Guest Designer

Hey Everyone,

Fantastic News, as some of you may have seen on the challenge, I am Fussy and Fancy Friday, Featured Guest Designer!!!

Their theme this week is Swirls and Pearls and here is the card that I made, nice to make something bright and colourful for a change.

I coloured Lemon Tilda up with copics, and the papers are all from my own stash of goodies. I found the little Fresh Lemonade ticket on the net and the bunting too. They add that splash of yellow and as I really wanted to keep the focus on pink with this card, I think that is enough yellow.
The happy birthday sentiment is from one of Pions Paper border sheets and I have wrapped it around a tiny wood spool.

I have actually cut her out and then replaced her, on an identical image, so that she stands out.

The flowers are  from WOC and I made a little hand made pearl hat pin and die cut some large magnolia leaves and tags from the same shades  of papers.
I am sure the swirly borders are memory box Valerian Flourish, they add an extra element of interest.

Just wanted to add, if you love this two tone shabby seam binding as much as I do you can find details Here at Jules blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great week.
Don't forget to pop over to the challenge to see the teams beautiful creations.

Edwin Wants A Hug Birthday Card

Hiya Everyone,

Here is a card that I made for my friends dad for his birthday, I dont usually like making male cards, but as she is a dear friend to me, I made this for her.

As he is a Rangers supporter, I bordered all the pion papers with bazzil bling card to match their colours and I coloured his tie with the same colour too.

And a strange coincidence, I later found out that he is a stamp collector, so the stamp on the right worked well too!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Red ... But Not Christmas!

Hello everyone,

Well, this is funny, none of my Christmas cards were red, I avoided it and went mainly with aqua and blues with brown.

So, I won a prize at the Stamping Chef last week and couldn't wait to colour  this image called Ella Lovely, I just could see her in anything other than red, so after avoiding it all Christmas, I made this card in red he he!

So enough waffle, here is my card

The light isn't great here today, so I had the flash on for the middle photo.

The main paper is a digi paper, which is really shabby and the middle section is Maja Design, the sentiment was the border on the same sheet. The taffeta ribbon and heart button are from the ribbon girl.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays and Happy New Year!!!

Sweet Oklahoma

Hello Everyone,

Here is a card that I made using Krista Smiths Sweet Oklahoma Image. You can find the image here.

I coloured her with copics and tried to add a little dimension to her clothes, hope you like it, its so nice to make something other than a Christmas card this time of year! Mind you, apart from one card that I made in green, I used alot of non traditional xmas colours this year.

I made the flowers from colour core card, I distressed the paper first then cut out the flowers, which gives a nice shabby effect. I also made two of my own pearl and metal hat pins is corresponding colours.

All the papers are Maja Design, including the two doohickey die cuts and I think the border may be Pion.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I am off to help santa stock up on my daughters Christmas presents!

Happy Birthday To You...

Hello Everyone,

I hope your all well and starting to get into the festive spirit he he!!!

So, for a change, I have opted to make a girly card, as I miss my pinks he he!

I just need to explain that the picture quality is not very good due to the dark weather we are having here in Engalnd.

I coloured both Devine Tilda and Tilda in Summer pants with copics and the papers are maja design. The cute bunting is made using a whimsy stamp and I have threaded them all with hemp twine!

I think the lace and pearl border is from the Ribbon Girl store.

Have a lovely week,

Tilda and her snowflake card

Hello again everyone,

Here is a quick post for a card I made yesterday,

I am pretty sure that this is Tilda holding her snowflake and I have coloured her with distess inks and I also made the poinsettias from pearlised card, distressed them and added the centers.

Have a fab week and stay warm, its really cold here in England at the moment.

Its cold outside! Sure is!!!

After noon everyone,

Wow it is very cold here in England and at 3pm, its practically twilight, miss summer so much boo hoo!!!

Here is a card that I made for fun, featuring its cold out side Tilda, perfect for today...

The pictures are a bit poor due to the dark weather, I will try again tomorrow.

The beautiful papers are all Maja Design or Pion, I used three altogether and I coloured her with copics. I used one of the paper straws from LLC to added the doohickey flag and stamped and coloured that up too!

I added some little winter chipboard wording and applied snowtex around her feet.

I coloured the skates with white and silver paint, distressed them and used my brad setter to make the holes and threaded them with hemp twine!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fab week and dont do too much xmas shopping!!!

Take care, Cuddles Jay xxx

Rustic magnolia light up fire place

Good morning everyone,
Happy 1st Of December to you!
Today is the first day of our new challenge at Magnolia Mania and its the easiest one around...
Anything Goes!

You have two weeks to share your beautiful ATG creations with us, also pop over to see who was the winner of the last challenges prizes and see if you were on of the DTs top three!

You have the chance of winning a surprise package from Magnolia, wouldn't that be nice in your Christmas Stocking?

I made this rustic light up fire place, complete with two magnolia's, Sparkle Poinsettia Tild and Tilda With Apple Wreath.

I either coloured all of the elements with my copics or covered them with distressed Christmas coloured papers, to give the red glow in side the fire, I used a red bicycle light he he!

I glossed the hearth tiles and filled a little corked bottle with tiny colourful bells, this is now a permanent Christmas decoration in my home!

This is the fire place with the magnolia section removed, its a little lighter in colour as it is facing a window, to show the gloss on the tiles.

We cant wait to see what you come up this time around.

Molly The Elf Checking Her List

Hello All,

Today is a lovely sunny day here in England, quite a nice change during winter and I couldn't believe my eyes, when I saw a large black and red butterfly in my garden, now that is a first for mid November!

Onto my card, I used Krista Smiths Molly The Elf for my newest Christmas card and made a lot of the elements my self too, so I am really pleased with it.

I colored her with Copics and added flocking and a sprinkle of diamond dust to the fluffy & furry parts of her clothes. I didn't draw her nose, but I did use shadowing to create one, which I am also pleased with ha ha!
The outer paper is from my own stash of goodies and the edges are chalked, the two top papers are Maja Design, edged with metallic paint & the border is Maja too.
I added the white memory box flourish, die cuts around the outer edge, as I think they add a little more interest to the shape.

I made the two hat pins to compliment the brown and blue colour scheme.

I also made the two layer glittery snowflakes, if you enlarge the picture you can see both layers. There is sneaky glimpse of the cream lace, I added underneath the border.
The candy cane is made from Fimo clay and yes, you guessed I made that too.

In an effort to cut down on your scrolling time, I made these photos into a page and as you can see in the top right picture, I used a Tim Holtz Ideology pin to hold the sentiment ticket and joined the two silver bells together with a silver ring and attached them to the pin.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a fab and crafty weekend!
