summer time memories - Magnolia Tilda & Announcement!

Hello Everyone, 

How cute is she? 



I won her with stamp and create and I will be guest designer too, please pop back in a couple of days to see my card! 

I have tried to concentrate on shading the skin a little darker, as I intended to use the brown, so she is quite suntanned! 

I've used some of the butterflies from pion design borders and butterflies papers and all other papers are Maja Design, with Wild Orchid Florals.

White Embossed Tilda With Rose Basket

Hello Everyone

My goodness the weather here in the UK in so miserable, the sky is pure grey, so I decided to finish off my card.

I have used the white embossing technique, that I have seen a few times, it was tricky colouring with copics. As the raised lines can flood, if you lay down too much ink at the start, especially on her hair and it is also a little more tricky to blend too.



All the papers are from Live and Love Crafts, I have cut tags from Pions My Precious Daughter collection and I have used a larger section of Maja Design 'Shall we have coffee' paper for the central panel.


I have added a few of Pions butterflies and a tag to match.

The lovely Gingham Ribbon and Heart Button are from L&L Crafts and have threaded the button and tied the tag with natural hemp twine.


I hope that you like my card, I have been wanting to try this technique for a while and as I said in my last post, crafting is about trying new techniques.

Ok I know my last card was pink too!!!

Hiya, If your wondering about the title, well, its almost that time to start making Christmas cards and there are alot of Autumn colours about at the moment, I just had to squeeze in as many girly cards as possible 
he he!

I made everything on this card except the doilies and metal corners and it really is something different for me. I masked VirgoTilda with the new summer fence background using my new stamp a majig. It still slightly off, but it was my first attempt, a practice, but I am pleased with it anyway he he.

 Isn't that what card making is all about, trying out new techniques etc?


As you can see I have used lots of doohickeys and a little shape abilities flower to make all the florals, swirls and butterfly from Sofiero Maja Papers. 

This picture had to be at a bit of an angle to show how the card looks when its open.


The weather has been all over the show today in the UK, rain, shine, more rain, then just dark, so the piccies are slightly different colours.

GDT Magnolia Mania Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

A Brand New Challenge Starts today at Magnolia Mania!

Its a really easy one too, Bingo!


I have chosen Die Cuts, Pearls and Embossing, no suprise there hey!

Here is my card using Tilda with a big rose, I just fell in love with her the first time I saw her, she is just adorable.


            The beautiful hand embroidered lace is from Live & Love Crafts

As you can see I have both heat and dry embossed the doily and around Tilda.


I just love these burgundy flowers my friend Jan gave them to me, they are so unusual!


Yesterday was a sad day for me as I dropped my daughter off to live at University, she is now living away from home and on her journey to becoming an adult, I am super proud of her!

Lovely Lemon Tilda

Hello Everyone,

Where has summer gone? It was wonderfully sunny here in the UK yesterday and today its over cast and grey boo hoo!

Here is a card featuring Lemon Tilda that I have been making over the last few days.

I have coloured her with copics, all the papers are Maja, including the little bunting & tiny butterflies and I have used lots of florals from Wild orchid Crafts.
The tiny wooden Happy Birthday greeting is from Unique Crafts in Holland and I just love them, I have used them alot lately :)





I coloured the blue cherry blossom with my copics the same colour as her dress and there is also a little apple peeping out behind them.

Masked Magnolia Tilda's Card With Wooden Fence!

Hello Peeps, 

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted a card, I have been away and wouldn't you just know it, I have had the flu too!!!

Anyway, I am all better now and have a new card to show you, I managed to find a lovely little wooden fence in a craft shop in Tewksbury, where I went away to visit my family for a week.


 I have coloured Tilda with lace pance & Tilda with Rose Lace Dress with Copics. 
I have used Maja Coffee in the arbour Raspberry paper and also used the paper to die cut the doohickey butterfly and little daisies. 


As you can see I have also used some Kraft die cuts and I just love the little wooden fence!!!

Tilda with a large rose card


Hello Everyone, 

Sorry its been a while, I have started a new job and have been very busy with it.

I have been making this card over the past few days, featuring Tilda with a big rose and I have also coloured up a daisy background, coloured with copics.


The Sweet Happy Birthday Sentiment is from Unique Crafts of Holland and the two layer butterflies are elements from Pion Butterfly and Border Paper. 


I have also coloured a little cloud sky, Tilda is not masked, I cut her out initially to use on another project, but I thought she suited this background better.


As always, my papers are Maja he he and the flowers are wild orchid from the ribbon girl and live and love crafts.

Lemon Tilda Card

Evening Everyone

Here is a card that I crafted today using Lemon Tilda, I think her little espandrals sandals are super adorable, like little wedges aawww!


As you can see I have used the New Coffee in the arbour paper, this one is raspberry and the paper behind is Pion, I think its called Grandma's playroom.


I coloured her with copics and mounted her onto a fancy frame and bazzil card.


There are quite alot of die cuts, which are my favorites at the moment, the lovely gold paper clip is from Kaisercraft. The Kordt and Godt rolled roses and the other floral embellies are from the ribbon girl and live and love crafts.

Pink Lemonade Tilda Card


Good Morning Everyone,

Here is my card featuring Pink Lemonade Tilda, she is from the new summer collection, I just adore her little sunglasses!!!!



I used my spellbinders dies to make the card base and matched the papers and coloured card to Tilda, they are slightly off set so that they show through.



I have attached sections of a pearl Prima Flourish and the flowers are from the Ribbon Girl and The Hobby House. I also made a couple of little hand made pearl and metal pins.  
The so wrapped up doohickey is cut from Maja Paper.


I took this photo before I attached the sentiment and she is coloured entirely with copics.

DT Post for Totally Gorjuss - New Challenge Begins Today!


Hiya all you crafty people,

Well its a thoroughly wet day here in the UK, we are having a break in the beautiful weather today, with thunder and lightening and very overcast skies!

Today we have a brand new challenge that starts today at 


and Today its super easy, we would love to see butterflies on your creations!!!

Here is my card




This is Magnolia catching hearts and is an image that I coloured a while ago, she is coloured with copics and prisma pencils.

I have used some rolled roses and magnolia bridal bow, its quite a simple card and for a change, I have used papers from my own goodies!

Magnolia Tilda card with new background

Hello Everyone, 

Well... The new challenge begins today at 
Totally Gorjuss and this week its another easy one, we would like
 to see a tag on your creation, how simple is that?

Here is my card that I created, but I also used a maja so wrapped up doohickey as well as a tag.


I have used For You Tilda, from the lost and found collection, with the new Summer Fence background, all coloured with copics. The papers are Maja with the new coffee in the arbout at the front, just behind the image. Both tags are also Maja.  I have cut the butterflies and border from the new Pion papers "My precious daughter" which I absolutely adore!
All from L&L Crafts.

Magnolia Decorated Birthday Bag and some weird carrots!

Hiya Everyone, 

Here is a Kraft bag that I have been decorating over the last couple of days, I made it just for fun and really did have a lot of fun doing it!


I used Tilda with Binding Flowers as she is one of my favourite images and she is coloured with copics.
The two beautiful papers are (my other favourite) both from the Maja Sofiero Collection, matted with Bazill card stock. 
I have also used a Fimo and a Metal Corner and a couple of metal and pearl brads and some cheesecloth.


As you can see I have surrounded the image with pearls from L&L Crafts and the happy birthday sentiment is from Unique Crafts and I just adore them.


All the flowers are from Wild orchid and I think the beaded swirls are from the Ribbon Girl, as well as the beautiful pink lace.

Take a look at these weird carrots that I pulled out of our garden today for tea!!!


I just cleaned them up and still ate them, they were delicious, maybe odd shapes taste better  he he!!!

Saturated Canary "Denise" Card


Hello Chickies

Time for a new challenge at Totally Gorjuss!

This week its...

Bling is the thing!

Cant wait to see your beautiful interpretations of our theme!

Here is my card that I created for the theme, using Krista Smiths Denise image, click the name to find the image.

She is coloured with Copics and decided to try a darker hair colour for a change, as most of my girlies are blondies, it was alot of work, but I am happy with it.


I have used Magnolias bridal bow die cut from Matching Maja paper and added a large diamond and pearl bling embellishment in the middle!

The butterflies are Pion paper elements, I just love them, inked with Victorian Velvet DI.

Here I have made a hand made hat pin, it is metal set with pink jewels.


The front paper is maja with patterned vellum & I have also used a border from Maja, over red ribbon. The Bridal Bow and So wrapped up doohickeys are both cut from the same paper and the flowers are wild roses, from WOC.
