Did you ever do this? I did!

Afternoon Everyone,

I have a long weekend this week (lucky me) and as I had some spare time, I made this Saturated Canary card.

She is called Talkie and as soon as I saw her, I knew that I had to have the stamp!

I love this image as I remember making the same talkie with my cousin  when I was little and I went into one room and he in another and we swore that we could hear what the other was saying!
Mind you, we were only about 10 feet apart so there is no suprise there hee hee!!!!

Here is my card

Isn't she cute!!!!

I made the rolled roses myself in two sizes, by snipping off the first part of the die cut, before rolling it.

I love this lattice frame, its lovely so I matched it slightly with the die cut around the image and also used a large white die cut underneath that.

The paper is pion and magnolia and I have used one of my own sentiments, which is ideal for this card and also a mobile phone charm, which kinda fits the theme!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a good week everyone!!!

Rose Scent Tilda Card

Hi All,
I have been a bad blogger of late, but with changing my job to a very hectic job at that, I haven't had a lot of spare time to make a card!

So thank goodness for the weekend and I have had chance to make this card!

I have tried to go for a sassy feel to the card, using a positively pampered sentiment and of course the large princess wording.

I've used the lovely New Rose Scent Tilda, from the lost and found collection. I've had her for some time now, but haven't had chance to use her. I just had to use some of Maja's Sofiero collection of beautiful papers, so I used two! I also made two tags from the same papers too & threaded them with ribbons.

Anyway enough of me prattling on, I have coloured her with prisma pencils, using the LOS technique and used lots of lovely die cuts, roses, prima pearl swirls and the beautiful aqua blue ribbon with pearl & diamond embellishment.
I hope that you like it and enjoy the rest of your weekend, I will hee hee!!!

Tilda in daisy patch easel card

Hello All,
Well, its almost the weekend & I am planning to craft all weekend Yay!!!

I have been making my card over the last couple of days with my lovely new stamp from Magnolia, she is called Tilda with Fantasy Flower and I have masked her with a lovely daisy background & stamped a tiny Magnolia Butterfly.

I bought alot of copics recently and have coloured her hair and skin with them and used prisma pencils for the rest, I hope that you like the outcome!

The metal paper clip to the right hand side is from Kaiser craft and compliments the colours perfectly.

I made these two and three layered flowers, I hand stitched them together and then stitched the gorgeous metal and diamontee centers to the petals, I also made the yellow pin behind them too!!!

I have used lots of lovely lace and ribbons from my two favourite crafts shops, Live an Love Crafts and The Ribbon Girl.

The papers are pion and magnolia, two of my favourites.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.

Birthstone Bestie Card with hand made orchids

Hello Everyone,
I hope that your enjoying your weekend so far!!!

I have used one of my Besties Digi's and used one of my favourite colour combinations - Aqua and Cream/Brown.

Well, how is every one settling back into their normal routine, after the Christmas festivities?

Its the last weekend before returning to work, so I thought that I would make this card, I love the image its ever so cute!
She doesn't have a name, but is one of the birthstone besties collection, you can find her Here at Sherri's store!

I have used my lattice die to create the framed card and three layers of Maja Design papers from L&L Crafts.

I wanted to give it a winged theme, as it suits the fairy, so I used the wings doohickey and a tiny butterfly with a pearl body.

My lovely hubby bought me the orchid die for Christmas and these are my very first orchids that I have made and I am quite pleased with them.

I am still in love with the Tim Holtz Ideology Wording and have used dreams take flight, which fits my theme!

Thats all from me for now, enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Take care

Little Moscow Collection Ribbon Dance Tilda

Hello Again Everyone,

Well, another day, another card!!! I am certainly putting my time off to good use! (Probably should do some housework too hee hee!)

But for now, I have used this cute Little Moscow "Ribbon Dance" Tilda, for my card.

I inked her with Sepia archival ink, as I am not too keen on stamping in black, I prefer to used this one or my Tuxedo mocha ink, as they are closer to actual skin colours and just look that little bit better.

I have coloured her with prisma pencils, using my favourite LOS Method and I have used promarkers for her skin and hair.

I decided to go with lots of larger roses this time, instead of using Kort & Godt rolled Roses, as I used them alot over Christmas, the roses are from the Ribbon Girl, I had a bit of a splurge and bought lots of roses in different colours, I used Lilac and White on my last girlie card.

The beautiful deep lace is from Live and Love Crafts as are the cream sprigs, shabby seam binding and clay heart. I've also used a cherry blossom from the Hobby House and a large daisy from my own goodies.

Again, I am using my Tim Holtz Ideology wording, I love the selection and they are small enough to use on just about anything!!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope that you like my card.

A Card For Dad

Hello Everyone,
I hope that you are all enjoying the festive period with your families.
Yesterday we had a family party for my pops, there were 28 people gathered for his 64th birthday, but he swears he is 63 hee hee!!!

I made this little soldier based card for him and as we are English I added lots of English embellishments to the card too! He loves hand made cards and keeps each one that he receives from his family. Two of my little nieces make card too, ages 5 & 11 and he keeps every single one!!!

So here is my card...

I also used the Castle background from the Tilda prince and Princesses Range.

I didn't have any suitable backing papers for the base layer, so I printed a union jack onto decoupage paper and then sanded it and run my gold paint pen around the edge. The top layer is nautical magnolia paper, I liked it as it sort of suited the design, if not the theme hee hee!

The red taffeta ribbon is from the ribbon girl and I managed to find the beefeater guards ribbon on ebay. All the other little embellies are from my own stash off goodies and I made a removable tag, from poppy type paper ...

Anyway, my pops had a wonderful day and so did all of our family.

Good luck and all the best, to you and yours in 2014.

Little Moscow Collection Card - Tilda In Evening Dress

Good morning all,

Here is my first card using one of the little moscow collection stamps, this one is Tilda in evening dress, a very adult looking stamp for Tildas!!!!

I would like to ask you all a question, why is it, when I use purple papers, they nearly always looks blue in the picture? It throws the whole card off balance!
I would welcome some advice.

So please bear in mind that the paper is lilac not blue as it looks.

Anyway, the paper is Maja and my own LILAC (hee hee) backing papers. The Florals are all from the Ribbon Girl, not sure where I bought the leaves.

The beautiful lace is from Live and Love Crafts, where you can also find the beautiful flowers on a table maja design papers

I made a little lilac pearl pin and added a few other embellishments from both of the above on line stores.

For a change I coloured her with copics, as I prefer to use prisma pencils, but I thought I would have a little change!

My new favourite thing, has to be the Tim Holtz, Ideology words, you will probably see them alot on my cards now hee hee!

Thanks for stopping bye and dont forget to enter our Fashionista challenge, the details are in the below post!

Have a great weekend

We would love you to come over and join in the fun.

The theme this time around is simple.... Winter With Snowflakes, we are looking foward to seeing your beautiful interpretations for this theme.

I haven't had chance to use The Day Before Christmas "Noel Tilda" this season, but I just couldn't resist using her in our last Christmas Challenge for the year!

I just love easel and half easel cards, I think that they have so much scope for design.
I found theses little letter Charms in my goodies and strung them together and spelled out NOEL, to match the image! I also used Unique's Wooden "Let it Snow" wording too!

Both papers are Magnolia in pink and grey tones an I have glittered a large snowflake for the edge of the design.

All flowers are the Ribbon Girl and the little fir cone is from Live and Love Crafts!!!!

All Christmas Carded Out!!!

Hello Everyone,
I have just popped on to show you my baby cards!!!
I felt like I wanted to make something other than Christmas themed cards.
So I have been making these two over the last couple of days!
These are kinda an old favourite of mine, I usually make a mint or lemon one too, but just make the two this time.

And here they are individually.

Both Cute Cherubs were stamped onto Langtons Cold Pressed Card and coloured With DI.

I had a thought about the blue one after I had made it, I should have tied the silver dummy charm through the blue baby pin, not stuck it behind, but hey ho never mind!
Anyway the sweet charms are from ebay and the gingham ribbons are from the Ribbon Girl, as are the sweeetheart blossoms!
The cute little Tim Holtz card board words are from Live and love crafts!
I bought these beautiful swirley frames on ebay ages ago, at
least a year or so ago, but I do think that they are very pretty when distressed. The images are fab for 1st birthday, new baby cards, they are so adorable!

I hope that you like my cards for today.

Dont forget that Fashionista Magnolia and More Challenge Goes Live tomorrow Monday 9th December, we would love you to pop over and join in the fun & maybe win a prize, I will be back in the morning with more information! (link at the top of my sidebar).

Tilda Shaker Card

Hello Everyone, I hope your enjoying the weekend. Its freezing cold here today in the UK, the perfect excuse for staying in with a hot cuppa and making cards, so here is mine!!!

As you can see, I have used two of the new edition Tildas. I coloured them both with Prisma pencils, using the LOS Technique.

I also finally found a use for the little polystyrene balls that come off the Flower Sprays that are from Live and Love Crafts. I knew they would stick to the inside of the acetate, due to the static, so they look like 3D falling snow! Of course I also added glitter too hee hee! Its just not christmas without it!!!

This was a hard card for me to make, as I usually love to use flowers, but the Pion paper is just too pretty to cover up.
So I've kept it simple with an on the edge sparkling snowflake border and a pretty bow created from beautiful Aqua Satin Ribbon & lace from the Ribbon Girl, with just a few glittery snowflakes dotted about!

I hope that you like my card and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

3D Round Tilda Card

Welcome Everyone,
Just popped on to show you my new card.

Both Tilda and the snowey door background where coloured with Primas pencils, using the LOS technique, which is my favourite!

I have distressed the trees with DI, then Frantaged them and finally added applique for snow phew!!!

The shabby roses are from the ribbon girl and everything else is from Live and love crafts, both links in my sidebar.

I used applique for the snow, but sprinkled glass glitter over it while it was still wet to add sparkle and texture.

The template is available here at Sandra's on line store. As the card is quite deep, I have tied it around the outside with shabby seam binding and tied it in a bow at the top.
The paper is Pion.

Thank you for dropping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Feel the magic!

Good Day Everyone,

Here is my most recent card using an old favourite of mine! She is called magical Tilda with wand.
I get the feeling that she has a beautiful chiffon overlay or top layer to her dress, well, its kinda obvious really, so I have therefore tried to reflect this in my colouring.

This is one of my little hand made pins, that you often see in my cards.

I have coloured her with distress inks and added some little folds to the chiffon colouring.
The little tag is hand made and is suspended from Tim Holtz ideology pin.

I absolutely adore the vintage Autumn basics papers from Maja, they are just stunning.
I felt the little distressed leaf sprays were ideal for this tilda and I have made another of my favourites, tiny butterflies with pearl bodies, they are very sweet.

It is the first time that I have used this bunting, I've distressed it and added a dab of frantage and the same with the little resin dove.

Most of my flowers are from the Ribbon girl, with a two tone cherry blossom from The hobby house.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a fab week.
Take care Jay xxx

My First Ever Book Card?

Hello Again Everyone,

I have another card to share with you, this time I have made my first ever book card.

I'm not a 100% sure, that is the exact name, but you will know what I mean when you look at it hee hee!

The first two picture are of the outside of the book and in the second you can see a slight glint in the top right hand corner, as I have used acetate to create a window.
I have used two lovely little angels from last years nativity collection, they are both coloured with promarkers and prisma pencils, with added stickles.

This photo is of the inside, I have used Magnolia Swedish Lace Borders and Corners and distressed them in Tea Dye and Bundled Sage.
Peaceful Tilda is from the new collection and is stamped with desert sands pale cream ink and is coloured with promarkers and prisma pencils.
I have added a little sparkle with stickles and all the florals are from either the ribbon girl, L&L Crafts or Wild Orchid.

I made the little tassel myself and the book ties on the side with white satin ribbon! Which I think really finishes the design.

I hope that you like my creation.

New Card For Fashionista Magnolia & More Challenge

Hello Everyone, Here is my card for the Fashionista "Magnolia and More" Challenge, which has a new theme this time around and it is Christmas Bling It On...

Except it isn't just a card, it is a 2 drawer card! I was thinking of making it into an easel card on the top, but I like the way it turned out, its funny how, you can start off with one idea and the finished product is similar but something else hee hee!
I've used the new North Pole Tilda and added a snowy sign, which is a digi. So yes, I had to cut her out, hair and all!
The beautiful Taffeta Bow with large crystal in the center, & pearls around the image, all from the ribbon girl. The corners are from Wild orchid and I have used two little green diamontee brads, for the drawer handles on the card, but they push through from the back.

Onto our challenge, we would love you to pop over and join our challenge, we have 2 fabulous sponsors and you have two chances of winning a shopping spree in their online craft shops.
